At VSParticle we are passionate about innovation in nanotechnology for meaningful purposes. From our office in Delft, the Netherlands, we designed and developed a portfolio of Nanoparticle Generation and -Printing systems. Our current systems are research tools, allowing university researchers and R&D teams across the world to create new materials 10 times faster as with conventional systems! These new material combinations form the basis of revolutionary solutions for highly relevant applications, such as green hydrogen production and sensors for air quality measurements.


What will you be doing?

The Embedded - Electronic Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software for embedded devices while also contributing to the electronic design of VSP products/prototypes.


Key Responsibilities:

a. Embedded Engineering:

  • Code, debug, and document embedded software.
  • Define and execute testing procedures for the code.
  • Maintain and upgrade embedded hardware.
  • Collaborate with other product development engineers, product owners, and software engineers to plan and execute firmware integration.
  • Design architecture for software in embedded devices to ensure long-term intuitiveness and manageability.

b. Electronic Design:

  • Contribute to electronic design activities.
  • Integrate and validate new ideas on our products/prototypes.
  • Provide input for component selection, circuit design (including PCB layout), and hardware simulations.
  • Examine efficiency, stability, scalability, and reproducibility of systems.

c. Development:

  • Realize prototypes with the product development team.
  • Draft construction drawings, parts lists, inspection and test protocols, data sheets, and technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot and find solutions.
  • Execute and review technical documentation

Job requirements

What do we require from you?

  • University Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar)
  • 3+ years of similar working experience in Embedded Software Engineering.
  • Experience with electronics from a hardware perspective, preferably High Voltage.
  • Development experience in C/C++, Rust, and Python.
  • Familiarity with software engineering tools such as Git, GitLab, and PlatformIO.
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, PLC. 
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Strong team player mindset.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Analytical skills for effective decision-making. 
  • Creativity in approaching engineering challenges.
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously improve.
  • Hands-on attitude for practical implementation.
  • Optional: Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment.
