Technical Content Writer / Science Communicator

From our office in Delft, the Netherlands, we designed and developed a portfolio of Nanoparticle Generation and -Printing systems. Our current systems are research tools, allowing university researchers and R&D teams across the world to create new materials 10 times faster as with conventional systems! These new material combinations form the basis of revolutionary solutions for highly relevant applications, such as green hydrogen production and gas sensors. Our tools are also the robust foundation for self-driving labs. Beyond developing next generation research modules, we are also working towards an industrial scale machinery system to target the electrolyzer market. 

We are looking for a talented and passionate Technical Content Writer / Science Communicator to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex scientific concepts into compelling content that engages both expert and general audiences. Your ability to blend deep technical knowledge with effective storytelling will be key to communicating the innovative work we do at VSParticle and its impact on industries like nanotechnology, material science, and energy.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality, compelling content: Write, edit, and publish a variety of content, including blog posts, white papers, website copy, news articles, and social media posts. Tailor content to engage VSParticle's target audience in both academia and industry.

• Manage content initiatives: Oversee content projects from ideation to execution. Research and brainstorm relevant technical topics and transform them into engaging, clear, and persuasive content.

• Simplify complex scientific concepts: Translate challenging technical and scientific information into easy-to-understand formats without compromising the content’s accuracy and depth.

• Plan and manage the content calendar: Develop and maintain a content calendar that ensures a strategic and consistent flow of content across different channels and platforms, while aligning with broader company objectives.

• Optimize for SEO: Apply SEO best practices to enhance content visibility, increase web traffic, and improve audience engagement.

• Analyze content performance: Use clear metrics and data to track content effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimization, and iterate based on data-driven insights.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information, ideas and ensure technical accuracy

• Maintain brand voice: Ensure content reflects VSParticle’s unique voice and messaging while adapting to the needs of various audiences and platforms.

• Stay current: Continuously monitor industry trends, scientific advancements, and emerging technologies to keep content relevant and fresh.

Required Skills & Experience:

• MSc. degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in technical content writing, preferably in a scientific, engineering, or technology-focused context.

• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with keen attention to detail

• SEO expertise: Experience with SEO best practices, keyword research, and optimizing content for search engine visibility.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• AI proficiency: Experience using AI tools for content creation, research, or optimization to streamline and enhance content development.

• Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and content quality is maintained.
