Job description

WHO ARE WE?

This project is in collaboration between DEMCON Multiphysics and VSParticle.

DEMCON Multiphysics is a high-tech engineering company in the fields of heat transfer, fluid dynamics,

mechanics, electromagnetism, acoustics and particle physics. With a team of about 25 people, spread across

the Enschede and Best branches, we operate independently within the DEMCON group. We offer internal

and external customers innovative solutions in the design, development and improvement of physical

processes and mechanical devices. We use various tools (analytical, numerical, experimental) to further

develop a concept design. We use a variety of software packages, such as ANSYS, STAR-CCM+, COMSOL and

SimulationX, and also have a large computational cluster to perform CFD and FEM simulations.

VSParticle is a leading supplier of next-generation tools for nanoparticle synthesis and deposition. Our

technology reduces the preparation time of advanced nanoparticle samples to just hours, accelerating the

development of novel materials for diverse applications. To achieve this, we have developed a nano particle

generator and nano particle printer, which can generate particles for virtually any conductive or

semiconductor material and deposit them on many different types of substrates.

Topics:

• Aerosol Flow (Gas and Particles)

• Heat transfer

• CFD

• Electromagnetism

• Plasma physics

Your main tasks include:

• Literature review

• Setting up a simulation for nano particle transport

• Validation of simulation results

• Making intermediate and final reports for your findings

• If required, doing experiments for validation

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A person who is:

• enthusiastic about learning VSParticle technology

• interested in multiphysics phenomena

• interested in numerical analysis

• willing to work at Best or Delft location

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

DEMCON offers a dynamic, growing and innovative organization. With our complex projects and

multidisciplinary teams we offer a good climate for this graduation project. Thanks to enthusiastic and

dedicated colleagues, our working atmosphere is good, open and informal. You will be supervised (daily) by

a colleague from our department. We welcome own initiative and give you the space to express this.

Furthermore, we offer you a graduation allowance and a lot of flexibility.
